Sachin Pilot was born on 7 September 1977. He is the son of the late Congress leader Shri Rajesh Pilot and Smt. Rama Pilot. After completing his early education in Delhi, he studied at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and then pursued an MBA at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania (USA). Before entering active politics, Pilot gained work experience at the BBC and General Motors.

In 2004, following his father’s legacy, he entered politics and became the youngest Member of Parliament at the age of 26, winning from Dausa, Rajasthan. His marriage to Sara Pilot, daughter of Farooq Abdullah and sister of Omar Abdullah, further underlined his pan-Indian political connections. The couple has two sons. Beyond politics, Pilot also serves as a captain in the Territorial Army, highlighting his commitment to national service.
